Week 39
How far along?
Baby is the size of: a watermelon! holy moly
Total weight gain: {144.2 to 143.4}
Maternity clothes? still mixing both normal and maternity
Stretch marks? nope!!!
Sleep: not sleeping well...the anticipation is killing me coupled with being super uncomfortable
Best moment this week: getting everything all ready...got my hair did, nails done, watched movies with bru and made breakfast every morning :)
Movement: she's very quiet in there...uh ohhhh
Food cravings: sauerkraut...we finally got our german we've been craving!
Miss anything? not really...
Anything making you queasy or sick: smoke
Gender: IT'S A GIRLIE!!!
Labor Signs: after doc could only get a finger tip up there, i started losing my plug on friday and have been having bloody show - she must've loosened something up. still no dialation. Monday i woke up to some fluid and this is where the BIRTH STORY will start in another post!!! :)
Symptoms: hard to move, belly gets in way, contractions, mucus plug, bloody show, fluid, nerve pain, nauseous
Belly Button in or out? still in on top
Wedding rings on or off? getting tight but still hangin on!
Feelings: this is the END of the road...ohmygosh
Looking forward to: kissing my girlies luscious lips!
This weeks developments: flexing limbs, nails extend past fingers and rapid brain development
at my appt on thursday i was hooked up to the monitor because she was quiet again on wednesday, but she was still happy as a clam...little did i know she was about to make her appearance in less than a week!!
Livvy decided to make her entrance into the world on Tuesday and we were not able to take week 39 pics....

Week 38 [ September 20, 2012 ]
How far along? 39 weeks 2 days...weve been really busy ;)
Baby is the size of: a pumpkin... i cant wait for halloweenie!
Total weight gain: {142.8 to 144.2} it keeps on climbing!
Maternity clothes? still mixing both normal and maternity
Stretch marks? still nothing on my belly but this red line has been appearing where my belly button was pierced...it bugs me
Sleep: having the windows open has helped a lot...loving the fall weather
Best moment this week: hearing there is no dilation. i normally wouldn't be happy about that but we both really want to get through work and i really want my disability week. its paid time off that i will lose if she comes early...sooo im ok with her staying put right now!
Movement: shes still moving here and there but things are slowing down
Food cravings: chocolate shake...just been eating like cray!

Labor Signs: not really!
Symptoms: extremely gassy! holy cow... nerve pain and just uncomfortable!
Belly Button in or out? flat on bottom but still in on top...hasn't popped like the turkey timer.
Wedding rings on or off? on but getting snug at times
Feelings: crazy that she will be here so soon!
Looking forward to: snuggling with her and bru <3
This weeks developments: shedding vernix and growing hair!
We had a serious nesting weekend... we got alot of stuff done and are feeling good!!
Also want to note a funny - bru made us pack our bags for our appt on friday because he thought we wouldn't be coming home. he was sure i was dilated and they were going to send us to the birthing center instead of home. LOL...no dilation!

Week 37 [ September 10, 2012 ]
How far along? 37 weeks 6 days
Baby is the size of: a winter melon
Total weight gain: {140.8 to 142.8} 2 lbs!
Maternity clothes? still mixing both normal and maternity
Stretch marks? i think i found a couple around my hips...booo
Sleep: its been better! thank gosh
Best moment this week: i guess it was the scariest but also the best because were moving in the right direction... we met with the midwife and she told me that I'm effaced. She didn't really tell me how much but she said that im right on track and i should keep doing what im doing. she said im getting cramps and back pain because I'm effaced. baby is coming soooooooon!!!
Movement: theres still alot going on in there even though shes getting so big!
Food cravings: onion rings, root beer, sauerkraut, chocolate shake
Miss anything? the simple life... even though its not gone yet, im just wondering how its going to be and missing life as it is even though im sure once she's here ill never look back

Gender: IT'S A GIRLIE!!!
Labor Signs: cramps, back pain and 4 hours of contractions on monday night! we really thought that was it... we got all the bags by the door and everything all ready. i called the doc after an hour and a half of contractions and she told me to stick it out another couple hours. they went from 10 mins apart, to 7, to 5 to 3 but then started spreading back out. thank gosh!
Symptoms: nerve pain in butt and legs, swollen feet at the end of the day
Belly Button in or out? pretty much flat
Wedding rings on or off? on!
Feelings: its feeling more real as the day nears
Looking forward to: seeing her precious little face
This weeks developments: practicing her skillz! she's blinking, gripping, inhaling, exhaling and sucking.
The midwife also told us Liv's head is really low and in the canal, she touched it when she checked my cervix. This is why im having such bad pelvic pain! Even though im effaced, my cervix is still closed.My strep b test came back negative - yay! Im still measuring small - 36 weeks and her HR is 140.

Week 36 [ September 5, 2012 ]
How far along? 37 weeks 1 days - OMG I'm full-term!!!!!!!
Baby is the size of: a honeydew
Total weight gain: {140.2 to 140.8} eeeeeks!
Maternity clothes? still mixing both normal and maternity
Stretch marks? almost there with nothin!
Sleep: I'm so tired but i just can't sleep well. tossing and turning is frequent and very difficult. tuesday night i couldn't even fall asleep - i thought for sure baby was coming and bru was at work of course. ugh...that sucked.
Best moment this week: getting a lot of stuff done over the weekend. almost all the errands are done, nursery is just about done, bag is almost packed, shower thank yous are finally done, brus truck is sold, all baby stuff has been put together and works...things are coming together...that can only mean one thing - - - baby is on the way. OMG
Movement: still lots. however, thursday was a weird day and i woke up and went about my business and wasn't feeling her. so i ate something right away hoping that would work and it didn't. i laid down for awhile to see if that would work and it didn't. so i got ready for work and went on my way. i did feel small movements during the day but she wasn't her usual self - she's very active all day - she shakes my whole body with her movements. around 3pm i decided to leave a message for the nurses as i know they pick up messages at 330 daily. i got a call back and the nurse told me to come in to the birthing center right away. of course bru was working so i went by myself and got all hooked up. i sat there for an hour while they monitored babys movements and HR. after all that scare and worry the nurse said baby is doing beautifully. :)
Food cravings: chocolate shake, twizzlers, icee, mexican, cheese fries
Miss anything? nope, I'm good this week

Symptoms: sneeze pee! awesome

Feelings: full of anxiety... omg omg omg. time is dwindling...fast!
Looking forward to: meeting our baby after her due date...hint, hint, stay put!
This weeks developments: skin is smooth and soft and her gums are rigid, she's close to being able to breathe on her own, liver, kidneys, circulation and immune systems are all in working order.

It's September!!!
It's September!
Livvy's birth month is upon us and I can't even believe it. I have been thinking about this month since January...and now it's here! It truly feels so surreal. The past 9 months have flown by but at the same time have gone so slow - I kept feeling like September has been so far away. This year has been a blur...its gone both fast and slow. It's just days now until we get to meet our sweet little girlie... 25 and counting. :)
