Week 35 [ August 28, 2012 ]

How far along? 35 weeks 7 days

Baby is the size of: a coconut...YUMM
Total weight gain:  {139.4 to 140.2} eeeeeks! im creeeeepin up there!

Maternity clothes? ugh...things are really getting tight and everything is uncomfortable
Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: im having a really hard time staying awake lately... im just always tired! but the quality of my sleep is not all that great.
Best moment this week: our last shower... we had a really great time with bru's family and friends on sunday. his mom did such a nice job...the food was yummy and so many cute things. we got our last big ticket item (the snuggabunny swing!) - so that made me really happy. we got so many nice gifts... we are so lucky. :) ANNND my mom got me a coach diaper bag and made the CUTEST baby jacket i have ever seen (see below).
Movement: she moved again - her butts back on the left. shes getting big...she doesnt have much room to wind up anymore. she just gives very solid, forceful movements now. they shake my whole body!
Food cravings: not really...ice cream/shakes are just realllllly good!
Miss anything?  not being tired, being able to walk normal, being able to bend and move without being in pain
Anything making you queasy or sick: smoke

Gender: IT'S A GIRLIE!!!

Labor Signs: ugh... monday night i thought i was having a baby. very seriously, i thought that was it. i didnt monitor my contractions all day, but i was getting them. between 8 and 9 i started tracking and they went from 7 minutes apart, to 5 to 3. i was FREAKING OUT! i chugged 3 bottles of water and went to bed thinking i was gonna wake up to my water breaking but i didnt - PHEW! so im thinking maybe i was just dehydrated again... i gotta take it easy.
Symptoms: my lower belly really hurts...shes getting heavy. my legs have been falling asleep for no reason. my back aches. feets are semi swollen depending on the day. just weird feelings/pains in my uterus and butt. stretching...owwww.

Wedding rings on or off? on!

Feelings: slightly panicking that she could come at any time!!!!!!!
Looking forward to: wrapping up more stuff this coming weekend. i was able to make some progress on my hospital bag, run some errands and do a bunch of her laundry last weekend, which made me feel better. Now just to finish the last few things in the nursery.
This weeks developments: her hearing is fully developed and will respond to high pitch noises!

I discussed my birth plan with the doctor which made me feel better. my fundal height is 33cm...so still measuring small. HR 145

{A Letter of Love} To My Sweet Livvy Girl

My dear little girlie ~

I can't even explain all the feelings rushing in and out of my body since the moment I knew I was pregnant with you - that very second in time, I can remember it like it was yesterday, when I just knew I had a little life growing inside of me. I have literally felt every emotion known to mankind during my time with you...scared, excited, worried, thrilled, anxious, overwhelmed, etc. People always tell you it is such an incredible, life changing thing and those words can't even really explain it. I tell daddy all the time that I wish he could carry you, even for a day, just to see how unexplainably amazing this really is. When we didn't know, I wanted more than anything for you to be a little girl so you could melt daddy's heart. He is going to be to be your best friend and take such good care of you - I can't wait to see him burst with love!

When I look down at my belly, I smile. :) When I feel your little (or sometimes BIG) kicks and stretches I love it. I will be more than excited the day I get to see your precious little face and get to snuggle your squishyness, but I will truely miss having you with me 24/7 and miss feeling you just being you. Knowing that I only have about five more weeks with you, give or take, is so bitter sweet...

Whenever it is, you decide to make your entrance into this world, daddy and I will be here for you. We can't make any promises that we will know what the heck we're doing or that we'll be good at it, but you can always count on us. We are here for you, to love you unconditionally with all our hearts and to support you for the person you will become. We are beyond excited to share every day for the rest of our lives with you.

Now don't grow up too fast!

Week 34 [ August 20, 2012 ]

How far along? 34 weeks 6 days

Baby is the size of: a buternut squash
Total weight gain:  {138.6 to 139.4}

Maternity clothes? things are starting to feel not so comfy anymore

Stretch marks? nada
Sleep: bed time is 9pm again...
Best moment this week: getting to see our little bean! she was harder to see since she doesn't fit into the screen anymore, but she was very active. Movement: she moved her butt to the right side of my belly now! And it's weird, when i wonder how she's doing because i havent felt her in awhile, she kicks me! its like she knows... we're connected :)
Food cravings: just loving food all the sudden and starburst!
Miss anything?  feeling like myself
Anything making you queasy or sick: smoke

This weeks developments: she's urinating a pint every day! gross!

At our Friday appt we got to see her breathing (her diaphram was moving)! She is face up right now and I'm hoping she flips!! The fluid looks good and her head measured average. THANK GOD!! Not only do I not want to have to push that out but I've been thinking she's gonna have a noggin on her since daddy's is so big! ;) She is measuring 4lbs 15oz which is on track but she's in the 35th percentile...so she's a peanut. So my fundal height just measures small - about 2 weeks, but everything else she measured (bones, organs, etc.) was normal size. She did say that she's thinking she might come closer to September 29th instead of the 26th... I'm ok with that! at this point ive only gained about 16.5lbs. HR is 150

Week 33 [ August 16, 2012 ]

How far along? 34 weeks 2 days... this one is 2 days late! sowwy
Baby is the size of: a durian (whatever that is)
Total weight gain:  {138.0 to 138.6}
Maternity clothes? getting big and starting to look like a stuffed sausage in my normal shirts...
Belly growth: 

Stretch marks? still doing good
Sleep: ehh not the best obviously because i am SO tired lately even when i sleep alot
Best moment this week: our shower :) it was incredible. my mom is amazing at throwing parties and made it so beautiful. my aunt and two family friends also pitched in... i cannot tell you how much i appreciate those four ladies along with my very generous family and friends. :)
Movement: lots and lots and lots! and hiccups a couple times a day. i'm really gonna miss it
Food cravings: chocolate shakes and skittles
Miss anything?  not right now... i'm embracing this for the last few weeks
Anything making you queasy or sick: smoke

Symptoms: waddle walk, tired feet and legs, shortness of breath, TIRED, pain in right boob!, pain in the upper right part of my belly

Feelings: feeling very scared for the unknown
Looking forward to: seeing our girlie on friday!!
This weeks developments: she is keeping her eyes open when she's awake, starting to coordinate breating with sucking and swallowing, her bones are hardening and more major brain development! she's getting ready to make her grand entrance. OMG

Saw a different doctor this week and she's not familiar with me and how tiny i am. she said i was measuring 30-31 weeks instead of the 33 i should be so she ordered an ultrasound for next week. im not too concerned but when i saw my normal doc two weeks prior she told me i was only measuring a week smaller than i should be... and i know beebs has been growing alot - the pictures show- so im just confused. however, im really excited to see my baby next week :) HR was 160.

We also had our diaper party (man's shower). All the hockey boys came and it was alot of fun (minus all the cigar smoke!! YUCK). Midnight came around and i had to kick the boys out, I was SO tired. but we got a good stash of diapers! :)

~ My Shower ~

What an absolutely beautiful day it was! The weather was perfect - low 80's and sunny - I couldn't have asked for a better day. The shower was at my mom and dad's and was the sweetest celebration ever! My mom, Aunt P and family friends, Sandy and Marilyn did such a stellar job putting together a perfect afternoon luncheon. Thank you guys!! And thank you to everyone who came and spoiled little Livvy - she will appreciate it once she's here! :)

Week 32 [ August 8, 2012 ]

How far along? 33 weeks 1 day... we were a day late this week

Baby is the size of: a squash

Total weight gain:  {138.0 to 138.0} >> no change

Maternity clothes? still able to wear a little bit of both but bought some cute new maternity shirts

Belly growth: 

Stretch marks? nada

Sleep: been sleeping pretty well... have been getting up less the last couple nights to pee

Best moment this week: taking a tour of the hospital. it made me feel a little bit more at ease knowing where we need to go. eeeek!

Movement: tons!!!

Food cravings: nothing really

Looking forward to: i started putting up some of the decor and its looking ridiculously cute! we got a rug and started putting clothes in the closet... its looking sooooo cute! i can't wait to post pics. I've been meaning to post pics as its been progressing but I've been really bad keeping up :(
