We went for our ultrasound on Friday and the baby was completely cooperating! We've never seen the baby in that position, butt out and facing my spine....meaning CLEAR shot of the goods! I'm so proud of my little peanut for listening to momma! <3
PARTY ON!!!
We can't even stand this...we have an envelope with the results sitting on our dining room table and we keep looking at it and trying to peek through it, but the ultrasound tech did a good job so we can't cheat. Darn!

Blue or Pink... What do you think?
Friday is the day!
I know by now you all have gotten your invites for our gender reveal party on the 5th and we hope you're as excited as we are! We are having a hard time containing our excitement...it needs to hurry up and get here already!
But before that, the stars have to be perfectly aligned on Friday in order to see our little peanut's boy or girl parts... I'm hoping it likes posing for the camera! If...IF beebs isn't cooperating we will have to move our party to the 19th instead. So everybody keep your fingers and toes crossed that this little one is willing to let it all hang out! :)

I had one of the maintenance guys at work say "is what i heard true?" I said I'm pregnant, who told you?? He said nobody, I can tell there (points to tummy) and in your face... ha! thanks...not sure if this is good or bad!!
I went in for a cervix measurement to make sure its long enough to hold the baby in there the whole time. It measured 4.2 which is good but we have to go back every two week from now until week 24 to be sure it is still holding up. Supposedly the cervix can grow and shrink! Who knew!? They also told us my placenta is anterior, meaning the baby decided to nest in the front of my uterus instead of the back. So my placenta is right in front which could make ultrasounds difficult or make it hard to feel beebs, but we've had no issues as such with this little wild child! :) The placenta is also low right now, which they say is normal for how many weeks and we should start to see it rise as baby gets bigger (hoping!). The US tech took the heart rate at 152 and then the doc at 159. She said you know what that means right? I said what? She said they say a higher heart rate means girl....
Had another TSH testing done on my thyroid and it came back within normal range again!!! YAY!

Week 15 [ April 10, 2012 ]

Maternity clothes? I got a really cute maternity top and JEANS this week! :)
Stretch marks? no thank you!
Sleep: keeps getting worse...my hips kill! but i stole my body pillow back from Bru and that seems to be helping...he's not very happy though ;)
Best moment this week: having a wonderful anniversary weekend with Bru just me and him hanging out and enjoying each other's company. <3
Movement: YES! Saturday we were at Jenny's and I asked her if she could ever feel the "bubbles" on the outside and she said not really...so I grabbed her hand and put it on my tummy and she felt it go pop! so I grabbed Bru's hand and he felt it tooooo!!! I think baby was hiccuping! lots of stuff that we could feel on the outside! it was soooo exciting :) :)
Showing? yes, this week people have told me they can see a little bump. i'm feeling bigger but people still say if they didn't know me they wouldn't think I'm preggers.
Food cravings: chewy candy, chocolate chip pancakes, milk

The Best Man In The World
Today marks our one year wedding anniversary and our 8 year dating anniversary. Wow, I can't believe it's been that long! But then again, I think about it and I can't even remember life without this man.
My life before Brian was incomplete, unfulfilling and I was always yearning for more. Don't get me wrong, growing up I lived a great life, full of everything I ever wanted...except my other half. Just last weekend I was cleaning out some cabinets and came across some of my old writings and letters written to me and by me to past boyfriends. It really opened my eyes to the world I was living in before Bru (lonely times), the world I had forgotten all about (thank goodness!) when Bru swept me off my feet. Once he came into my life he made everything better and I mean everything! He has helped me forget all about those lonely times and I haven't looked back for one second.
Just a year ago, I thought I knew what I was getting myself into by marrying this incredible human being... I was unaware of just how much more perfect, perfect could get. Bru was already a kind, gentle, giving man. I was his world. And he was mine. We could conquer anything because we'd found each other. Two peas in a pod.
Well, as you know we were blessed with some life changing news in January, we're gonna be 3 peas in a pod! Me, so overcome by the fury of emotions that flooded my head, I for a few seconds got concerned how Bru would take the news and how this would effect our relationship. Quite honestly I don't know why I ever let those thoughts cross over my mind because boy was I wrong!
Since finding out we're going to have a little peanut, Bru has been even more perfect. He has been taking care of me when I don't feel so well, cleaning the house, making dinner, reorganizing to make room for our new roommate, and providing moral support among millions of other things. Without him I'd be nothing but a lost and sad soul trying to figure this all out on my own. I am so very lucky to have Bru by my side as we experience all of life's precious little moments together.
My heart is already busting at the seams for what's to come, sharing every moment with this incredible man I am honored to call my husband.
I love you more with each day that passes. Thank you for being my better half.
Here's to an eternity babe! (as I raise my glass of milk) ;)

Wednesday night I had a dream we were at our reveal party and we cut into the cake and it was BLUE! And then Thursday night I had a dream about that little baby boy...he was the most perfectly perfect little angel I'd ever laid my eyes on. I couldn't believe we created him. Wondering if this is a sign?!
