Best moment this week: Hearing that everything is ok after having a scare on Sunday... I lost my mucus plug! Talk about scary... mind being flooded with bad things. ugh! It sucked that it happened on Sunday afternoon too. I called the doc on call and she said hospitals don't have equipment for vaginal ultrasounds so I would have to wait until Monday to get one done to make sure everything looks okay. So... I sat around hoping I wasn't going to go into labor until the only appointment I could get on Monday, at 1:30! Doc told me she didn't think I had anything to worry about though because I wasn't having any bleeding or cramping along with losing the plug... and I guess the plug can regenerate and losing a plug doesn't always mean labor is to follow. I just thought that because I lost my plug 24 hrs before Liv was born. They did a regular ultrasound and babe looked good and the cervix measured 3.9 which is within normal limits. Saw the doc, she looked at my pee and the US pics and said everything looked good and she wasn't sure what else she could say to make me feel better about all this. She said I cannot promise you're not going to go into labor but I don't think that's the case, but as you know anything can happen. blah. Then she asked me to go get a vaginal us because they're more accurate. So I did and the cervix measured 3.5 and closed which is still good. She also did an internal exam looking in and feeling and she said there was very little discharge and everything looked good and closed up and long... phew. I also didn't have any bleeding from this vaginal us, thank gosh cuz I think that would've just put me over the edge!
Movement: depends... some days it's lot and some days it's not so much. and she was very quiet on Sunday, of course, which was freaking me out even more. I have to figure out what it is that makes her dance...

Showing? yep. and I don't feel as huge as I was last week. thank gosh!
Food cravings:  Cheese fries!!!!! salty and sour, bacon - still

Anything making you queasy or sick: not really!
Gender: GIRL!!!!!!! GIRL!!!! GIRL!!!!
Labor Signs: just losing the plug but that doesn't mean labor! ;)

Best moment this week: Finding out we're having another sweet little baby GIRL!!!!! We couldn't be any more happy and blessed. Someone is thinking about us in this master plan and we feel so fortunate. <3 It's crazy how the US tech thought it was a girl a month ago and how the baking soda test said girl and it really is a girl! I'm so excited to see Liv and her little sissy. mellllt!
Movement: Tons! and it's always funny to see her move on the ultrasound and feel her all at the same time. She's an active little one, so was Liv! I was actually watching her move from the outside of my tummy on Sunday!!

Feelings:  SO FULL OF LOVE AND HAPPINESS.... this was the BEST news I feel like I've gotten in a long time. I could cry every time I think about it. :)

Looking forward to: just loving this last summer as a family of three. While I have less anxiety about it being our last, now that I know it's a girl, it's still bitter sweet. I know this little girl in my belly will only enhance our family and add so much more love, so I'm feeling a little better about it. Not that a little boy wouldn't do the same, but the unknowns with a boy and the financial strain of having to buy new 'boy' things, was giving me heart palpitations. I'm just feeling a little bit less stressed going into this now. Let the fun begin! :)

After my vaginal us on Wednesday, I had slight brown bleeding Thursday morning and afternoon - teensy. So I called the doc late Thursday and they were already gone for the day, so the nurse called me back Friday morning. She said this is somewhat normal after a trans-vaginal us and that I just need to be on pelvic rest for a week. No lifting, no activities, minimal walking, no bending over, feet up and resting as much as possible. This couldn't have come on a better weekend because we literally had nothing to do (except laundry and things around the house) and Bru was home all weekend and doesn't have to work until Wednesday night - thank gosh! He's been such a HUGE help with everything, I really have the best guy around.

When I got my us, it was to check the length of my cervix since I had a LEEP procedure done back in 2007. Weeks 16-24 are critical that I be monitored to watch that the cervix can hold the baby and isn't shrinking or becoming effaced. Because it looked so good on Wednesday, doc said I didn't need to come in two weeks like I normally would. I'm just hoping these aches and pains I've been feeling this weekend don't mean anything with regards to my cervix. I hope they're just growing pains since this babe 'is bigger than liv was'. I'm keeping a close eye on them to make sure I shouldn't go in for another us in two weeks.

In good news, my thyroid blood test came back within normal limits! So no scary false results that caused me so much stress like last time. Phew! And the AFP results came back negative - all looks good! Yay!!!

We're a little stoked about the idea of another little girl :)))
Liv is "cided" about her "sissy"

My babes lovin on her sissy. <3
Comparing Liv's pregnancy to this one...

I couldn't contain my excitement about another girl at target... first piece of the nursery and pippies!

baby girl's room!

So now that we know the gender of this babe, the ideas for her room are swirling my head! I'm really thinking I want to go boho-esc/hippy-ish. We already know gray will be the main color we're working with since the glider is gray and cream chevron. And when Bru and I briefly talked about it this morning, he said he likes tiffany blue... sooooo since he actually spoke up, I think I might just have to include that color in my design! I'm thinking tiffany blue, radiant orchid and chartreuse. Which quite honestly, is pretty much the same as Liv's now that I think about it! Oops! I guess I'm just drawn to those colors! Here's kind of what I'm envisioning - - -

I found these two things at target today and love them!

eeeeee! so exiciting!

It's a . . . !!!!

It was only a matter of two seconds for the ultrasound tech to say it looks like a little girl! She didn't even really look at it for very long and was pretty positive it was a girl. The little girl's heart rate is 163 and she was very active her her hand by her face a lot.

They were doing an internal us to check the length of my cervix and it's perfect.

The doc heard the news but didn't see the pic of the three little lines indicating its a girl so we showed her and she was like oh yes that's definitely a girl! No hesitation. She said we would be able to see scrotal sacs and a penis by now for sure. I looked up online to see if you could possibly not have a definite answer at 16 weeks and it said that the oenis could possibly not be visible but if the three lines are visible then that is a definite for sure girl!

Doc also said this babe appears to be bigger than Liv. We'll have to see at the 20 week us how she's measuring but I better not have no ten pounder like Bru was!!!!

When she told me it was a girl tears started streaming down my cheeks. We are so so relieved it's a girl. Not that we wouldn't be thrilled for a little boy, but we were hoping for another girl. We know what we're getting into. We have tons of clothes! A sister for Liv! A sweet baby girl!!!!!! Ahhhhh 😃

We also celebrated our 11 year dating/4 year married anniversary! We went to breakfast and to dinner at stir crazy. It was a good good day!

Boy or Girl

Wednesday is the big day!!!

My vote: girl because I feel the same that I did with liv
Bru's vote: undecided. he just can't pick. healthy is what he wants. nevermind he just said boy!
Liv's vote: girl as of this morning but she has been saying boy since day one. she says it's a boy when you ask her, or that she wants a brother, but then will call it she and her... LOL
