Feelings:  okay... trying to stay level headed and not stress about stuff
Looking forward to: vacation next week so we can get our life back in working order. things feel way too chaotic for me!

Had my 28 week appt a day early and my glucose came back normal but the blood test showed low hemoglobin... it's 11 and they like it to be 12 so i'm taking double dose of iron now every day. Doc said these contractions are probably just going to stay until i deliver and theyre fine provided they don't cause pain and aren't on a cycle. Babe's HR was 120s-130s and she's still breech she thinks. Which is funny cuz e's been getting hiccups 2-3 times a day for the past week and they're way down in my crotch... and i looked it up and it said that means they're head down cuz they don't get hiccups in their butts... so now im confused. they say you can also tell which direction they are if their HR is found low (like E) that means head down, but doc said breech so who knows! I hope she flips soon if she is breech.

In other news, we told the family what the babe's name will be at grams and gramps 60th anniversary dinner and it was very special. I think everyone was touched. :) Can't decide when i want to share with the greater world... probably soon so i can call her by name.

sharing lego ice cream with her baby
This is just crazy!!
Liv and E both had hiccups at the same time two days in a row... so funny!
starbucks and panera date with my girl...i love times like these. just her and i.
closet progress!
she went thru this stage where she needed all 4 blankies, her lamb, elephant and kitty to sleep. lol
mmmmm...."snores" in the house.

Food cravings:  all the same! bacon. cheeseburgers. chocolate. cold stuff. coffee. taco bell. strawberry lemonade (regular and frozen). tomato. salad.
Anything making you queasy or sick: nah
Labor Signs: yes! lots of contractions... see below
Symptoms:  heartburn! exhaustion.
Belly Button in or out?  looking pretty flat
Wedding rings on or off? on for now

Feelings:  worried. all these contractions are concerning and making me uneasy. we're not ready to welcome our little nugget yet.
Looking forward to: contractions going away. getting the house back in order after the flood. this sore throat going away... had it since sunday.

i was so happy to have my regular 26 week appointment scheduled for wednesday since i wasn't feeling great after all the lifting, cleaning and moving stuff i did due to the flood. i wasn't feeling babe move as much and i was getting quite a few braxton hicks. i went to work wednesday cuz my team was in and sat thru a meeting in the morning and just wasn't feeling right. about an hour before i was supposed to leave for my dr. appt, i started getting lots of contractions. even on my way to the appt i was having them very close together and started freaking out. when the midwife came in the room i told her i was getting them alot so she hooked me up to the monitor. she determined the contractions were 3 mins apart and very patterned so she sent me to the birth center. Of course bru didn't come with me to this appt cuz he was busy cleaning up from the flood and my phone was on 1%. I was scared shitless so the nurse let me call bru from her phone and told him to meet me at the hospital. oh but before they let me leave the office, they took a swab for the fetal fibronectin test and i took that with me to the birth center. they hooked me up and got me two big cups of water to make sure that i wasnt just dehydrated (which sent me to the birth center two or three times with liv) but the pee sample i gave them wasnt even yellow so i was almost postive i wasnt. we had to wait an hour to get the test results and monitored contractions. sure enough the nurse told me i have bad uterus irritability and we were just waiting to see if i would possibly be giving birth in the next two weeks based on test results. both the midwife and dr narynan gave me an internal exam and everything looked long and closed so they weren't too concerned and the babe looked really good! it was really funny, e really didn't like the pressure of the monitors on her and literally kept trying to kick them off... see video. test came back and was negative. both the nurse and doc both said the fact that it is negative is awesome becuase it's never really negative, anything can set it to positive. so with that, dr narynan gave me another exam and i was still long and closed so she sent me home around 7pm and told me to take it easy and drink lots of water. they think its just due to all the stress from the flood and over-doing it.

went back friday for follow up and got another exam and was still long and closed. i told dr narynan i was still contracting, sometimes frequent again and she told me some women just have this from now until they deliver. yuck! she told me she still wanted me taking it easy... no cleaning or lifting and work only if i could manage. she told me we could still go to sheboygan just as long as im not chasing liv around. babe still looks good, hr is 150s. she still thinks she's breech becuase she didn't feel her head when she was up there... she didn't feel anything. she said she must be floating up in there!

I also went for my glucose test... well see how that comes back with all the junk i've been eating!

update on babe from 26 week appt: 135.8lbs at doc. hr was in 140s. 28 fundal height. babe is good size. still breech.

shopping for stanley cup gear while im hooked up... draining my battery - whoops!
reliving the moment we witness in person, but much closer this time.
finished this bad boy in five mins this time!
my little burrito at nap time :)
babe's closet is coming along! yay! now it's time to empty some bins (hang up clothes) so we can put stuff from the basement in bins so they don't get wet again. the amount of rain we're getting is INSANE. and it's making me CRAZY!
and we're off to the water park! she couldn't be more excited. she's been counting down sleeps until we were going to go.
chilly night for ice cream, but we couldn't pass up some of the yummiest ice cream!
awwwww :))) such a fun trip as a family of three.... can't believe we're gonna be four soon!

How far along? 26 weeks

Baby is the size of:  a head of lettuce
Total weight gain: loss of 0.6 { 132.4 to 131.8 } - total gain 21.8
Maternity clothes? yah mainly maternity except jammies or a piece here or there
Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: good for the most part except Monday night when we cleaned up the flood from 11:30pm (when we got home from game) until he sent me to bed at 3:30am. Ack!
Best moment this week: watching the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup!!!!!! I still can't believe we got to be there!!!!! and then came home to our basement completely flooded :( Such a buzz kill.
Food cravings:  all the same! bacon. cheeseburgers. chocolate. cold stuff. coffee. taco bell. strawberry lemonade (regular and frozen). tomato. salad.
Anything making you queasy or sick: nah
Labor Signs: just been having braxton hicks
Symptoms:  went to the dentist so my teeth are feeling better! just feeling lazy
Belly Button in or out?  looking pretty flat
Wedding rings on or off? on for now

Feelings:  completely overwhelmed with the flood. our house is an absolute mess. there are messes in every freakin room! it's stressing me the f out!
Looking forward to: our trip to sheboygan! even though i can't even think about walking away from this mess here, i think it will be good for me to clear my head. i need to get away even if it's for a day.

We had alot going on this week... lots of pics!

Daddy had an early game so we could actually go watch him!

morning snuggles :)
on the tiny potty at the mall... no pee but still cute!
breakfast with mimi and grams...i know i look like poop but she's cute!
wowzers
giving the rose a shower
first day playing in her 'new pink pool'
she randomly came up to me and said she wanted to give sissy milk and she thinks my belly button is sissy's mouth. LOL
and then she couldn't resist smooching her
i was garage saling for a gold floor lamp and found this one at an moving estate sale... the guy was a pharmacist and had so much cool old drugs and stuff in his house. this lamp rocks... hoping it didn't get wet enough in the flood to hurt it... it has an awesome dim feature and will be perfect for the babe's room.
i love how she loves to snuggle with her sissy
we narrowed the paint colors down for babe's room... i think we're going with the lighter one. it's hard to tell here but they are true grays...not brownish.
DQ!
Good luck kisses before mom and dad left for game six of the finals!
wish we could've taken peanut with us... she would've died!
can't believe we were there!

this little girl's first hawks game!!
they did it!!!!! and we were there?! whaaaaaat!
Michelle, Nick, Will and Gina were all there too! missed Manda but she was in florida... womp womp!
so much excitement!!!
meanwhile, this was happening at our house...we left at 4 and this happened at 4:30...and we didn't get home till 11:30 - so frustrating. Not to mention, the village is going to be installing a water pipe in this exact spot in july/aug to prevent this. and i just found out the previous owner declined the village's offer to complete this project when she lived here... im so pissed this never got fixed and that this rain couldn't come after this project that we've had slated since February.
my back door is over off in the right corner of the patio and goes right down into the basement...ALLLLLL that water right down into my basement. :(
you can see based on the water line on the door, just how high the water got.
everything is a disaster... this is a nightmare. i just thank god it wasn't sewage. Baby's new nightstand! wahhhhh
it's like we just moved in again... we have 12 fans and 2 dehumidifiers running
my poor rugs... stanley steemer is helping us out with drying and cleaning thank gosh.
our wedding books, baby books, recipe books... all got wet. :(
