Week 18 [ May 1, 2012 ]

How far along? 18 weeks 7 days

Baby is the size of: a sweet potato

Total weight gain: who knows whats going on!  {123.8 to 123}

Maternity clothes? mixing them in with regular clothes. finding the belly band isn't working so well anymore... eek

Stretch marks? nooooo

Sleep: its been a rough week with this awful cold

Best moment this week: having our little one cooperate so well for the determination ultrasound. baby was sitting with it's butt out, facing in to my spine... pretty much like here have a look. :) moms little pep talk worked!

Movement: lots of flipping and flopping... clearly was practicing for the ultrasound! and i felt a punch or kick again! so cool!

Showing? a tad, but if you don't know me you'd just think I'm a fatty

Food cravings: McDonald's fries! like nobodys business...i even went out in the rain for them! lol  jelly beans, chocolate milk

Anything making you queasy or sick: nah not really, thank goodness... remembering back to those days...yuck!

Gender prediction: boy! ive been thinking boy and then i did the wedding ring test and it predicted boy!
Labor Signs: nope

Symptoms: tired... probably because ive been sick too.

Belly Button in or out? in

Wedding rings on or off? on

Feelings: anxious! beyond excited to know but also a little sad that the wondering game will be over... but can't wait to start the nursery and register!

Looking forward to: our party!!!!!!

This weeks developments: baby can suck, yawn, hiccup, and swallow! it can also twist, roll, punch and kick! wowzers! lots of activity in there!

We got two envelopes from the US tech... one that had boy or girl written in it (on the third layer of post-its so we couldn't cheat) and one with the 'money shots'. We took the written one right to the cake place but we have the other one sitting on our dining room table tempting us! AHHHH!!! its killing me.

The suspense is killing him!

Some other good news we got... heart rate is still strong at 160 and my placenta has moved up! Phew! My cervix still measuring good (3.1cm), but 1 whole centimeter smaller this week, which worries me that it's shrinking but its still within normal length so that's good.
